This is considered the first Canadian novel, published in 1769 - Brooke was the wife of the first clergyman of the Church of England in Canada. Together with a sheet from an autograph book signed by Carman below two lines of verse and dated January 1926The book is in lovely, almost new condition, with an ink inscription on the half-title noting Carman's death in 1929.
